Mosaic Crochet Technique with Ute

Mosaic crochet is a method of crocheting that gives your work a look that resembles a tapestry, only using one color at a time. This technique looks difficult, but in reality is not. You only need to know how to chain, single and double crochet. We will learn this technique by creating a sample swatch using the Apache tears pattern. The pattern will be provided. Upon completion of the swatch, we will learn how to create a double sided border, which will allow us to hide all the ends.
Skills you already need to have: Basic crochet skills (chain, single crochet, double crochet). This is a great next step if you've taken our Crochet 101 class!
Materials to bring to the first class:
2 contrasting colors, about 50 g or less of dk or worsted weight yarn (I recommend lighter colors so you can see better)
Hook of the appropriate size for your yarn
Scissors
Interlocking stitch marker
Pattern will be provided by instructor at the first class
