Long Road Ahead Socks with Ute

Join us to learn knitting socks or to refine your sock knitting skills with these worsted weight cuties! The socks are designed by Katherine Vaughan for heavy use.  They have a slipped stitch pattern to cushion the feet and a short leg tailored for wear with ankle boots.  They work up so quickly you’ll be able to wear a pair in no time, maybe even make a second pair as a gift!

Basic knitting skills required: Cast on, knit & purl, knitting in the round, basic increases & decreases

Skills you will learn:

  • Learning and practicing sock knitting and picking up some tips and tricks.  

  • Reading and following knitting instructions.

  • Complete a pair of socks.

Materials to bring to the first class:
  • Long Road Ahead pattern - must be purchased via Payhip or LoveCrafts - links on the Ravelry page

  • 200- 320 yds of worsted weight yarn

  • US 8 needles, either double points and circular for magic loop technique
