Fixing Basic Knitting Mistakes with Ute



Every knitter makes mistakes. Many knitters do not know how to fix mistakes and inevitably end up spending precious time taking out work, or putting the project aside, start another one or take a break from knitting altogether. This workshop is designed to enable you to fix some basic knitting mistakes, such as preventing and fixing twisted stitches, laddering down to fix a stitch, unknitting, etc. A free Guide to Fixing Mistakes for All Knitters by Knitting Daily will be provided in electronic format.

This class is intended for Advanced Beginner knitters - you should already have basic knitting knowledge and several projects under your belt.

What you will learn:

  • Tink, or unknitting

  • Preventing and fixing twisted stitch

  • Laddering down to fix a stitch

  • Other techniques as time permits


Materials you will need to bring to class:

Knitted swatch (20 stiches, 10 rows in stockinette stitch)

Crochet hook

Interlocking stitch markers

Tapestry needle

Waste yarn

Small double pointed needles
