From the designer, Stephen West: Choose six colors to knit this geometric garter stitch shawl. Each section is knit with one color at a time while you pick up stitches and attach each new section to previous section, so there is no seaming. The long angular shape inspired by crystal formations features a large center section knitted with a self-striping yarn. The small sections framing the center self-striping shape feature semi-solid color pops. Collect a vibrant color palette and enjoy the magic of modular knitting.
The classes will introduce you to the concept of modular knitting. What is modular knitting? Basically, what it sounds like, any form of knitting that joins multiple pieces of knit fabric together by picking up stitches, no seaming involved. NOTE: The last class is significantly later, on purpose to give you time to complete the knitting before with work on the border.
Beginners are welcome, but you need basic knowledge of knitting and purling and bring an open mind.
