Helical Socks with Ute

Sock knitting is always exciting and entertaining.  We cover a number of tips and techniques that will enrich your knitting toolbox.  Join us to learn to knit helical socks cuff down, on double pointed needles (dpn). We will work with double pointed needles (5 needles), use leftover sock yarn or mini skeins, knitting with 4 colors in a round avoiding jogs when adding new colors.  You will have the option to work a short row heel or heel flap etc.  It will be an adventure.

Materials Needed Prior to the First Class:

*Helical Stripe Socks 
by Grumperina available for free on Ravelry

*At least 4 colors of sock yarn...40g for the main color, this color will also be used to knit the cuff,       heel and toe


*12 to 14 g of other 3 colors.

*US 1, or US 2 double pointed needles, if you are a tight knitter use US 2.  You will need 5 needles. 

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Advanced Beginner: needs to be able to cast on and off, know knit and purl stitches and basic decreases, like knit two together and slip slip knit.
