
In this class we will make a set of cotton tea towels with a simple but beautiful pattern. We will also go over hemstitching and tips for sewing your woven fabrics.
This class is an intermediate level - you need to already be familiar with the basics of using a rigid heddle loom, warping, and plain weave.
Students will learn:
How to plan for multiple projects
Starting and stopping projects on the same warp
How to separate projects
Hemstitching and when to use it
Tips for sewing handwoven fabric
Materials you will need:
Two cones of Gist Mallo, one cone each of two different colors (preferably one light & one dark Rigid heddle loom with appropriate heddle (8 dent recommended), shuttles, and warping peg
