
Calling all Virtual Crochet 101 alumni! If you prefer virtual classes, this class is for you! The Falling Blossoms Shawl by Ana D is an intermediate crochet pattern. It is a suitable project for crocheters who are proficient in basic crochet stitches and are ready for a challenge. In this course you will learn new stitches and techniques, including how to follow a written pattern, chainless starting double crochet, and how to add beads to a crochet project. This class will meet virtually on Zoom. Penelope will send log-in and gauge swatch information after registration is complete.
For best results, a solid or tonal yarn made of natural fibers is recommended.

Yarn - 440 yards fingering weight yarn
Crochet Hook - 3.75mm (F) (or correct size to obtain gauge)

6/0 beads with a large hole
One box Oral B Super Floss or steel crochet hook (Do not purchase these prior to class. These options will be discussed during the first class.)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Scrap fingering weight yarn for practicing stitches and beading
Students need to make a gauge swatch prior to the first class (21 dc, 10 rows) to determine hook size. Do not cut yarn! Penelope will email gauge swatch information after registration is complete.
