Tunisian Crochet Simple Scarf with Ute

Want to explore Tunisian Crochet?  Here is a perfect introductory project with increases, decreases and a pattern stitches.  This scarf/shawlette is worked on the principle of increasing until you have used up half of your skein of yarn and then decreasing until the yarn is finished. It looks stunning in any type of yarn. The model used long striping sock yarn, but you choose how you want it to look.   You can also use a thicker yarn for a longer and wider scarf.  

Skills you will learn:

1.  Tunisian crochet stitches
2.  Increases
3.  Decreases

Materials you will need to bring to the first class:

1.  Pattern:  Simple Scarf by Poppy and Bliss (provided for you at first class)
2.  Any weight yarn (up to worsted weight)
3.  Matching size Tunisian crochet hook (go by needle size recommended on your yarn band) 
4.  Removable stitch markers
5.  Tapestry needle

Sample pictured is done with one skein Online Supersocke fingering weight yarn (about 459 yards) with a 5mm Tunisian crochet hook
