This is a virtual class. Zoom information will be sent prior to the first class.
Blankets do not have to be rectangles! In this virtual class, you will build on basic crochet stitches to make a star shaped blanket. The Rainbow Ripple blanket is approximately 45” diameter, but may be made in a larger size by adding extra rows. (Please note that yarn requirements will change if the pattern is made in a different size.) This pattern is just challenging enough for an advanced beginner ready to take it to the next level and for intermediate crocheters who are interested in a meditative project.
What you will learn:
How to read a written crochet pattern
Magic loop review
Chainless double crochet stitch
Crochet increases and decreases
Changing yarn colors and weaving-in ends as you go
Finishing and blocking
Rainbow Ripple pattern
1150-2000 yds of worsted weight or DK weight yarn (for a lightweight blanket) in at least 2 colors (See shop sample made using Berroco Vintage DK.)
Size H - 5.0 mm crochet hook
Stitch markers that open
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
A pen or pencil to take notes and a highlighter marker
