Rectangly Hat: An Introduction to Double Knitting with Ute
Join us to learn or practice how to double knit. If you are looking to expand or hone your knitting skills, this class is a good opportunity. The technique of double knitting creates a two-layer fabric with knit stitches on both sides. Working double-knitted fabric feels very much like knitting a 1x1 rib, but unlike the rib, you are using different yarns for the knits and purls.
The finished fabric is completely reversible, lending itself to color work, contrasting fibers, or simply a knit-faced fabric that is twice as warm!
