Virtual Class Knit Companion 101: The Basics with Pam

This class will be held virtually on ZOOM.  Pam will send out login information in the week leading up to the class.

You will knit faster, make fewer mistakes, and tackle more techniques with this app.

In this online class you will learn why, “if you knit, you need Knit Companion”!

Skills you will learn in this class:

Overview of the Knit Companion app

Learn the basic functions of the app including:

> link to Ravelry and Dropbox

> importing a pdf pattern

> rotate pattern pages

> project notes

> project timer

> quick key

> add highlights

> on page notes (pop-up and text)

Materials you will need:

• Devices with internet connection (ipad, tablet, phone, laptop, desktop, etc)

• Most current version knitCompanion app already loaded on chosen device

• Preferable to join Zoom class from a device OTHER THAN the one on which knitCompanion is loaded so that you are able to view class instruction on one and have ability to work within the knitCompanion app on the other. .

• Access to Ravelry set up prior to class in order to take part in loading a pattern from Ravelry into knitCompanion

NOTE: For this class, you must have a minimum of kCBasics loaded. We will also touch on some elements included in Essentials.
