Skills we will learn this year:

• Knitting cables (including how to work without a cable needle!)

• Reading charts

• Picking up stitches (neatly!)

• Seaming a pieced garment

• Adding embroidery to decorate our seams (optional)

Additionally, we will pick up some helpful skills for our “knitter’s toolbox”, including:

• Determining desired positive ease in a garment

• Reading pattern schematics

• Blocking to pattern measurements

• How to pick the right yarn for a project - especially matching fiber content and yarn construction to a pattern to achieve the best results
