2023 Yearlong Knit-along: Mastering Colorwork through Sweater Design - Strange Brew by Tin Can Knits

Join us for another year of learning, stretching your skills, and community! 

This year we are taking a journey into the wonderful world of stranded colorwork - as we design our very own custom sweaters! But don’t panic - we are using the wonderfully detailed Strange Brew pattern by Tin Can Knits. If you are not familiar, this amazing pattern has taken all the stress out of the process of creating a unique sweater design! 

Simply choose your:

• Construction - top-down or bottom-up

• Yarn weight - fingering, DK, or worsted

• Size - 25 different options ranging from 0-6 months to Adult 4XL (61” chest)

And all the math and instructions are done for you! Pick your colorwork motifs from the options provided, or chart your own! Stick with a pullover or take a step further and turn your sweater into a cardigan with steeking (ie, cutting your sweater) - it’s not scary and we’ll guide you through the whole process! 

Our Yearlong KALs consist of a series of support sessions designed to walk you through the pattern in manageable chunks over the course of the year, without completely monopolizing your crafting time. These support sessions are taught via pre-recorded videos hosted on our Teachable website. This means you can join the KAL no matter where you live! You can watch these videos as many times as you like, at your own pace. A week after each set of support videos is posted Erin will host a Live Q&A session to answer any questions you may still have. (You can attend these sessions in person at the shop or virtually.) Participants also receive exclusive email newsletters at least once a month with KAL updates & reminders, additional tips & links to other helpful resources, and fun extras!
